Company sues church for $4.7M

PITTSBURGH — A Georgia corporation is suing Covenant Church of Pennsylvania, citing alleged breach of contract.

Foundation Capital Resources Inc. filed a complaint on Oct. 26 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Covenant Church of Pennsylvania, alleging that the Pennsylvania church failed to make a payment for the mortgage of its property.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Foundation Capital Resources Inc. sustained monetary damages. The plaintiff holds Covenant Church of Pennsylvania responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount of the mortgage plus interest, causing it to go into default.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $4,780,765.66 plus interest, late charges, court costs and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Jerrold S. Kulback of Archer & Greiner in Philadelphia.
