Man claims LINA wrongfully denied disability benefit claims

Insurance 06

PHILADELPHIA – A Pottstown man claims his applications for disability benefits were wrongfully denied.

Edmond Campbell filed a complaint on Dec. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Life Insurance Co. of North America citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, he became disabled because of Lyme disease and applied for disability benefits but was denied. The plaintiff holds Life Insurance Co. of North America responsible because the defendant allegedly ignored the diagnoses and conclusions of the plaintiff's physicians in denying his claim.

The plaintiff seeks complete payment of his disability benefits, court costs and interest plus any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Marc H. Snyder and Kellyanne Parry of Rosen, Moss, Snyder & Bleefeld LLP in Jenkintown.
