PITTSBURGH — A former employee is suing Concordia Lutheran Ministries of Pittsburgh d/b/a Concordia of Wexford, alleging retaliation and wrongful termination.
Denise DiCioccio filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Concordia Lutheran Ministries of Pittsburgh, d/b/a Concordia of Wexford, alleging that the employer terminated her employment as retaliation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from being terminated from her job at the senior care home. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible, claiming that after she reported a co-worker for discarding medications that were to be distributed to residents, Concordia terminated her in retaliation.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks reinstatement, payment of back wages, compensatory and punitive damages, actual damages, and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Samuel J. Cordes and John E. Black, III of Samuel J. Cordes & Associates in Pittsburgh.
