PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing Service Employees International Union Local 32 BJ, District 36, Building Operators Welfare Trust Fund, alleging breach of contract in connection with disability benefits.

Angelique Linder filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging that the plaintiff's claim for disability benefits was improperly denied.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she became eligible for disability benefits in a non-work-related slip-and-fall but was denied. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly denying the claim for benefits despite the plaintiff's eligibility to receive them.

The plaintiff seeks payment of all benefits plus interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Mary LeMienx-Fillery of The Law Offices of Eric A. Shore in Philadelphia.
