PITTSBURGH – A man is suing Prudential Insurance Company of America, citing alleged breach of contract.
Todd Weiner filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Prudential Insurance Company of America, alleging that the insurance firm wrongly denied his claim for long term disability benefits.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered a spinal cord injury, making him eligible to receive disability benefits, but was denied when he applied for long-term disability benefits. The plaintiff holds Prudential Insurance Company of America responsible because the defendant allegedly upheld its decision to deny his application for disability benefits despite his disability.
The plaintiff seeks relief to which he is entitled under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Brian Patrick Bronson of Quatrini Rafferty, P.C. in Greensburg.
