Allstate Insurance accused of improperly failing to negotiate settlement

PHILADELPHIA — A married couple's lawsuit against Allstate Insurance Co. alleges breach of contract.

Michael Aquila and Lorraine Aquila filed a complaint on Jan. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Allstate Insurance Co., alleging that the insurance company has failed to properly compensate Michael Aquila per the underinsured motorist coverage he had purchased.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Dec. 3, 2015, Michael Aquila sustained physical injuries when he was struck by another vehicle. The plaintiffs holds Allstate Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly has failed to negotiate a settlement.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $150,000 plus court costs and interest. They are represented by Joseph T. Piscitello of Law Offices of Joseph T. Piscitello in Philadelphia.
