PHILADELPHIA — A former employee is suing Caitlyn and Cody's Fun House LLC d/b/a Caitlyn and Cody's Diner, an employer, citing alleged retaliation, unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law, violation of state law and violation of workers' compensation acts.
Omar Badawi filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they denied fair wages to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained damages from being terminated after inquiring on several occasions about the defendants' failure to pay him for overtime. The plaintiff holds Caitlyn and Cody's Fun House LLC d/b/a Caitlyn and Cody's Diner responsible because the defendants allegedly terminated his employment for asking about not being paid any overtime wages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all damages.
