PITTSBURGH — A Pittsburgh man is suing operators of nursing facilities, alleging negligence led to the death of his mother.

Daniel Kaylor, individually and as administrator of the estate of Delores Kaylor, filed a complaint Dec. 13 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against The Commons at Squirrel Hill, Shadyside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Pittsburgh LLC Shadyside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and/ or Manor Care Health Services Shadyside, alleging they failed to provide proper care for Delores Kaylor.

According to the complaint, Delores Kaylor experienced pain from suffering multiple falls while at the defendants' The Commons at Squirrel Hill and Shadyside Nursing and Rehabilitation facilities in Pittsburgh. She died Aug. 11, 2016.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Delores Kaylor to address her risk of falling.

Daniel Kaylor seeks trial by jury, judgment that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of the court, plus court costs. He is represented by attorney A. Michael Gianantonio of Robert Peirce & Associates, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
