PITTSBURGH — A patient is suing a nursing facility, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries, liability and negligence.
Mario Gigliotti filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against GGNSC Monroeville LP, d/b/a Golden Living Center - Monroeville, alleging that the nursing facility failed to protect the plaintiff while he was staying in their facility.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in December 2014, he sustained physical injuries when he was attacked by another patient. The plaintiff holds the facility responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to the plaintiff while he was staying in their facility to prevent any unprovoked attack.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $35,000 plus punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by George R. Farneth II, Ryan James and Shane D. Valenzi of Farneth Tomosovich, LLC in Pittsburgh.
