Allegheny County woman claims LuLaRoe clothing marketer defrauds customers

PITTSBURGH — An Allegheny County woman has filed a class-action lawsuit against LLR Inc., d/b/a LuLaRoe, citing alleged fraud.

Rachael Webster filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Feb. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania alleging that the multi-level marketer, headquartered in California, overcharges buyers for its clothing. The defendant is a multi-level marketing company that markets clothing and fashion items.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained damages from being overcharged for purchasing clothing items. The plaintiff holds LLR responsible because the defendant allegedly overcharges their buyers under the guise of applying sales tax for different locations of sale.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award damages to the plaintiff, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by R. Bruce Carlson, Gary F. Lynch, Kevin Abramowicz and Kevin W. Tucker of Carlson Lynch Sweet Kilpela & Carpenter LLP in Pittsburgh.
