Dozens of workers at healthcare marketer, magazine allege unpaid wages

Law money 09

PHILADELPHIA — More than 30 employees are suing Ann E. Kielinski, Walter M. Kielinski and their group of businesses related to healthcare marketing, citing alleged breach of contract, unpaid wages and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.

The individuals - who were employed by the Kielinski's healthcare media, marketing and merchandising outfits - filed a complaint on Feb. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they failed to pay proper wages to the plaintiffs.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they sustained damages from not being paid wages equal to the work they performed. The plaintiffs hold the Kielinskis and their businesses responsible because the defendants allegedly breached their contract with their employees by failing to pay them proper wages. They also failed to contribute payroll deductions to the group health plan, which failed, and neglected to notify the employees of the loss of benefits.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants for unpaid wages, liquidated damages, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Georgios Farmakis of Weir & Partners LLP in Turnersville, New Jersey.
