PHILADELPHIA — A Delaware consumer is suing IQ Data International Inc.; TransUnion LLC; Equifax Credit Information Services Inc.; and Experian Information Solutions Inc., citing alleged misrepresentation in debt collection.
Shanae Moore of New Castle, Delaware, filed a complaint on March 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they reported an inaccurate debt on plaintiff's credit report. IQ Data, a debt collection company, provided the information to the credit reporting agencies stemming from a dispute on a rental agreement that plaintiff claims was resolved.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained damages from having incorrect information on her credit report. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly reported a debt despite the plaintiff's dispute of the debt.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages, punitive damages and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Robert P. Cocco of Robert P. Cocco P.C. in Philadelphia.
