PHILADELPHIA - A local Teamsters group is suing Graebel/Eastern Movers Inc., a Moorestown, N.J., business, citing alleged breach of contract.

Teamsters Local Union No. 115 of Philadelphia and its health and welfare and legal service funds filed a complaint March 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleging the employer failed to remit monthly benefit contributions to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege its organization and the employees it represents sustained damages due to the unpaid contributions. The plaintiffs hold Graebel/Eastern Movers responsible because they allegedly breached their agreement with the labor group by failing to remit the wage deductions for their employees.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in the amount of $2,552 plus audit cost, liquidated damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Stephen C. Richman of Markowitz & Richman in Philadelphia.
