PHILADELPHIA - A property owner in Verona is suing Nationstar Mortgage LLC, a Texas company, citing alleged breach of duty.

William D. Edgar filed a complaint March 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Nationstar alleging it failed to adjust the principal amount on the plaintiff's account after he had filed for bankruptcy.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he sustained financial damages. The plaintiff holds Nationstar responsible because it allegedly increased plaintiff's principal account adjustment instead of correcting it.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for actual and punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Alan R. Patterson and Andrew M. Gross of Gross & Patterson LLC in Pittsburgh.
