PHILADELPHIA - A group of firefighters have sued Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority, an airport operator, citing alleged unpaid wages for overtime.

James M. Herr, Patrick E. Barnes, Richard C. Hertzog, Richard Hildebrand, Joseph P. McShane, Adam M. Grube, Donald May, Julius Wenner and Jillian Baer filed a complaint March 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging their employer failed to properly compensate its employees for their work.

The defendant operates the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Hanover Township. The plaintiffs work as firefighters in the airport's Aircraft Rescue Fire Department.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they sustained damages from working more than 40 hours while not being paid adequate overtime wages. The plaintiffs hold Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime compensation to the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek back pay damages, unpaid overtime compensation, interest, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by James E. Goodley of Jennings Sigmond PC in Philadelphia.
