Former poultry exec claims Hain Pure Protein denied him year's pay, benefits after firing without cause

Wrongful term 14

SCRANTON — A former executive is suing Hain Pure Protein Corporation, a poultry production company, citing alleged breach of contract, unpaid wages, violation of workers compensation acts and wrongful termination.

Jay Lieberman of New York filed a complaint on March 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania alleging that the New Oxford employer failed to pay the plaintiff his base pay and benefits for a year after termination that he claims was "without cause."

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was wrongfully terminated from his position and denied his pay and benefits due. The plaintiff holds Hain Pure Protein responsible because it allegedly refused to pay severance payments to the plaintiff after his termination.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all damages and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Chad M. Rumsey of Chad Rumsey ESQ in Harrisburg.
