PHILADELPHIA — A labor group is suing St. Clair Concrete Co. Inc., St. Clair Concrete Company LLC, St. Clair Construction Group LLC, Michael St. Clair and Jacqueline St. Clair, citing alleged breach of contract for failing to pay into union funds.

The Laborers' District Council, its local and international organizations and their related funds, as well as Ryan Boyer as trustee ad litem, filed a complaint on March 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they failed to remit regular payments for the employee funds.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the employees they represent sustained damages due to unpaid contributions. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to pay funds owed to the labor group on behalf of their employees.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in the amount of $115,768.71 and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Nancy L. Goldstein of Mark J. Hill & Associates P.C. in Philadelphia.
