PITTSBURGH — A Cranberry Township couple are suing MTD Products Inc. d/b/a Troy Bilt LLC, and Briggs & Stratton Corporation, alleging they should be liable for injuries arising from the use of a pressure washer.

William D. Eubanks and Elizabeth Eubanks filed a complaint on April 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they manufactured a defective product that caused injuries to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that William D. Eubanks suffered physical injuries including lacerations to his face while transporting the Troy Bilt pressure washer on his property after use. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly test their pressure washer and ensure its safety before selling it to consumers.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages that exceeds $75,000 plus court costs and interest. They are represented by Peter J. Pietrandrea of Pietrandrea Law Office in Cranberry Township.
