PITTSBURGH — Two employees have filed a class-action lawsuit against AES Drilling Fluids LLC, citing alleged unjust enrichment, unpaid wages and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.
Russell Long and John Silva, who worked for the defendant as engineers, filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on April 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania alleging that the employer failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiffs.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they sustained damages from performing their duties at work without being properly compensated. The plaintiffs hold AES Drilling Fluids responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay adequate overtime wages to the plaintiffs despite their claims of regularly working more than 40 hours per week.
The plaintiffs seek unpaid back wages, liquidated damages, unpaid compensation, unpaid overtime, court costs, interest and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Joshua P. Geist of Goodrich & Geist P.C. in Pittsburgh.
