PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing Prudential Insurance Company of America, citing alleged breach of contract for wrongly denying disability benefits.
Renee L. Marshall filed a complaint on April 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Prudential alleging that the insurer denied plaintiff's claim for long-term disability benefits.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she had become fully disabled and applied for long-term disability benefits but was denied last September. The plaintiff holds Prudential responsible because it allegedly denied plaintiff's disability benefits despite there being sufficient medical evidence to prove she is disabled.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for all amounts due and owing, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Francis M. Moore of Mansmann & Moore LLP in Pittsburgh.
