PHILADELPHIA — A labor group is suing Kathleen Ward, citing alleged breach of contract for keeping benefits that were distributed to her by mistake.

Teamsters Union Local No. 35 Pension Fund and Board of Trustees of the Teamsters Union Local No. 25 Pension Fund filed a complaint on May 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Ward alleging that she refuses to return overpaid funds to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they sustained financial damages from defendant's actions. The plaintiffs hold Ward responsible because she allegedly failed to return the benefit overpayments to the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs seek restitution in the amount of $56,647.80, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Nicholas J. Botta of Spear Wilderman P.C. in Philadelphia.
