Philadelphia man claims Sterling Infosystems distributed wrong credit report

PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing Sterling Infosystems Inc., citing alleged breach of duty.

Mohamed A. Mohamed filed a complaint on May 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Sterling Infosystems alleging that the New York business disseminated inaccurate consumer reports pertaining to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged from having lost opportunities for employment because of the inaccurate information. The plaintiff holds Sterling Infosystems responsible because the defendant allegedly sent an inaccurate consumer report to the plaintiff's potential employer.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual compensatory damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Mark D. Mailman and Geoffrey H. Baskerville of Francis & Mailman P.C. in Philadelphia.
