Endo Pharmaceuticals claims former treasury employee embezzled funds

PHILADELPHIA — A pharmaceutical company is suing Cindy Fryer, a former senior treasury officer with the company, alleging embezzlement.

Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. filed a complaint on May 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Cindy Fryer alleging that the she defrauded the plaintiff by having company funds wired to her personal E-Trade account.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it sustained damages to its business from the defendant's fraudulent activities. The plaintiff holds Cindy Fryer responsible because she allegedly made fraudulent payments from Endo to other companies then claiming they were in error and requesting they be returned, providing her personal account number.

The plaintiff seeks monetary damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Michael D. Homans and Joanne K. Kernicky of Flaster/Greenberg P.C. in Philadelphia.
