The Standard Insurance allegedly erred in denying man's disability claim

Insurance 06

PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing The Standard Insurance Company, alleging that it owes him disability benefits.

Eric Chesko, who worked for Wexler Packaging Products until becoming disabled, filed a complaint on May 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against The Standard Insurance Company alleging that it denied plaintiff's claim for benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he became disabled and applied for benefits but was denied. The plaintiff holds the insurer responsible because it allegedly refused to pay plaintiff's benefits despite having sufficient medical evidence of his disability.

The plaintiff seeks payment of all benefits due, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Mary LeMieux-Fillery of Martin Law in Philadelphia.
