WILLIAMSPORT — A Las Vegas mixed martial arts and entertainment company is suing Kenneth M. Gombert and Otter Dog Inc. d/b/a Mason Jar, a Northumberland bar and its owner, alleging copyright infringement.

Zuffa LLC d/b/a Ultimate Fighting Championship filed a complaint on May 23 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania alleging that the Pennsylvania business exhibited plaintiff's broadcast without authorization from the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it was damaged from having its broadcast displayed publicly without its authority. The plaintiff holds Gombert and his establishment responsible because the defendant allegedly used an illegal satellite receiver to intercept signals from the plaintiff's broadcast of the UFC 209 event on March 4.

The plaintiff seeks statutory penalties in the amount of up to $110,000, statutory penalties in the amount of up to $60,000, court costs, interest, statutory penalties of up to $150,000 and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Wayne D. Lonstein of Lonstein Law Office P.C. in Ellenville, New York.
