PHILADELPHIA — A Georgia woman is suing Financial Business and Consumer Solutions Inc. d/b/a FBCS Inc., a debt collector, alleging misrepresentation in debt collection.

Kellie Cardona a/k/a Kellie Kitchens filed a complaint on May 26 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania alleging that the collection agency sent a collection letter to the plaintiff that contained inaccurate information regarding her debt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was damaged from receiving a collection letter that had false information regarding her debt. The plaintiff holds FBCS responsible because the defendant allegedly informed the plaintiff that the debt she owed may include interest and fees but failed to inform her if the account was in fact accruing interest and fees.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Antranig Garibian of Garibian Law Offices P.C. in Philadelphia.
