Law money 07

PHILADELPHIA — A Massachusetts corporation is suing its former employee Bruce R. Cooke, alleging breach of contract, tortious interference and unfair competition.

Citizens Securities Inc. filed a complaint on May 24 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Cooke, who worked for the plaintiff for over a decade, alleging that he misappropriated the plaintiff's trade secrets prior to ending his employment and joining a competitor.

According to the complaint, Citizens Securities was damaged as the result of the misuse of its confidential information. The plaintiff holds Cooke responsible because he allegedly solicited the plaintiff's clients using Citizens' confidential customer information.

The plaintiff seeks a temporary restraining order, the payment all costs and any further relief this court grants. Citizens is represented by Brian T. Feeney and Robert M. Goldich of Greenberg Traurig LLP in Philadelphia.
