PITTSBURGH — A Kentucky man is suing Consol Energy human resources, Liberty Life Assurance Company of Boston, and Liberty administrator Amanda Pipenbacher, alleging breach of contract and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.
Gregory Addington, who worked for Consol as an underground foreman, filed a complaint on April 7 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they wrongly terminated plaintiff's disability benefits.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged from having his disability benefits terminated. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly upheld their decision to terminate plaintiff's benefits despite having sufficient medical proof of his disability, and the plaintiff charges that defendant Pipenbacher contacted his physicians without his authorization.
The plaintiff seeks damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Hudson T. Ellis of Eric Buchanan & Associates PLLC in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
