PITTSBURGH — A Georgia-based conglomerate is suing Harry C. Nagel, an Allegheny County resident, alleging he breached his employee agreement by taking confidential information with him upon resigning.
Siemens Industry Inc. filed a complaint on April 3 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Nagel alleging that he copied and took the plaintiff's confidential information at or around the time of his resignation in April 2015.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Siemens sustained damages as the result of its confidential information being taken. The plaintiff holds Nagel responsible because he allegedly breached his contractual agreement with the plaintiff by keeping confidential documents owned by the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks restitution, compensatory damages, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. Siemens is represented by Robert W. Cameron and Allison R. Brown of Littler Mendelson P.C. in Pittsburgh.
