ERIE — A hospital is suing Cerner Health Services Inc. and Siemens Medical Solutions USA Inc., alleging breach of contract.

Weirton Medical Center Inc. filed a complaint on March 17 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide proper service to the Siemen's products they provide to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Weirton Medical Center, Inc. was damaged because of issues regarding the Siemens health information systems products. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide support for the implementation of their applications.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. Weirton is represented by Charles Kelly and Michael J. Joyce of Saul Ewing LLP in Pittsburgh.
