PHILADELPHIA — A former server is suing Oxford Valley Ground Round Inc. d/b/a Ground Round, Hanna Keryakous, George Keryakous and Michael Keryakous, alleging that they failed to compensate the plaintiff fairly and violated Workers' Compensation laws.

James Gillespie of Levittown filed a complaint on June 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, based in Fairless Hills, alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged from not being paid minimum wage. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to pay overtime to the plaintiff during weeks in which he worked more than 40 hours.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation owed, reimbursement, lost wages, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Ari R. Karpf of Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti P.C. in Bensalem.
