Prudential Insurance Company of America accused of breach of contract

Contract 10

SCRANTON — A Pennsylvania man is suing the Prudential Insurance Company of America, citing alleged breach of contract.

Gregory Crispell filed a complaint on June 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant refused to pay his benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged from having his benefits denied. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly informing him that he is no longer eligible to receive disability benefits based on the claim that his disability no longer met the definition of disabled under the terms of the plan.

The plaintiff seeks order the defendant to pay the plaintiff long-term disability benefits plus interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by James J. Conaboy of Abrahamsen, Conaboy & Abrahamsen P.C. in Scranton.
