PHILADELPHIA — A union is suing Metro Glass and Metal, Marrero Glass and Metal Inc. and Jaime Marrero Sr., alleging breach of contract for failing to send employee contributions to the labor group.

The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council No. 21 and its related employee funds filed a complaint on June 20 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they failed to remit their employees' contributions.

According to the complaint, the union alleges it was damaged due to the unpaid contributions. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly breached their bargaining agreement with the plaintiff when they failed to pay their monthly contribution.

The plaintiffs seek injunctive relief, audit of the defendants, interest, court costs, liquidated damages and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Martin W. Milz and Syretta J. Martin of Spear Wilderman P.C. in Philadelphia.
