PHILADELPHIA — The estate of a deceased military veteran is suing the Department of Veterans Affairs, alleging that insufficient measures were taken to diagnose the pancreatic cancer that took his life.
Patricia Wallace, executor of the estate of Robert L. Wallace Jr., filed a complaint on June 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the federal Department of Veterans Affairs, alleging that the government agency failed to provide Robert Wallace with proper medical care.
The complaint alleges that Robert Wallace had experienced abdominal pain and several other problems prior to having been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. The plaintiff holds the Department of Veterans Affairs responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly diagnose and treat Wallace's pancreatic cancer.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $75,000 plus court costs. She is represented by James R. Radmore of The Radmore Firm LLC in Philadelphia.
