A.R. Sokol Inc. alleges it is owed more than $200,000 for Schuylkill Mall snow removal

SCRANTON – An Orangeville corporation alleges that it is owed thousands for snow removal at a mall.

A.R. Sokol Inc. filed a complaint on July 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Northpoint Development LLC and NP New Castle LLC alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff had been contracted by the owner of the Schuylkill Mall in October 2016 for snow removal. The suit states Northpoint Development purchased the mall in January, followed by NP New Castle in March.

The suit states the plaintiff removed snow in March but was not paid in full.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in the amount of $227,425.96 plus court costs. It is represented by Franklin E. Kepner Jr. of Kepner, Kepner & Corba PC in Berwick.
