PHILADELPHIA – A surgeon residing in Las Vegas alleges an Audubon company infringed on five of his patents.
Dr. Mark A. Barry filed a complaint on July 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Globus Medical Inc. alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was damaged from having his patents infringed. The plaintiff holds Globus Medical Inc. responsible because the defendant's CREO Derotation System and REVERE Deformity Vertebral Derotation Instruments allegedly infringe the plaintiff's patents.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, treble damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by John S. Stapleton and Jonathan L. Cochran of Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin & Schiller in Philadelphia.
