PHILADELPHIA – A Honey Brook woman alleges a Florida debt collector's action damaged her credit score.
Michelle Sheplock filed a complaint on July 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Medical Data Systems Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant is attempting to collect an alleged debt from her. The plaintiff holds Medical Data Systems Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to list plaintiff's account as "disputed by consumer" on her credit report.
The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, attorney's fees and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Antranig Garibian of Garibian Law Offices PC in Philadelphia.
