Medical malpractice 01

PITTSBURGH – A Washington woman alleges she has been damaged by cosmetic surgery performed by a Pittsburgh surgeon.

Bianca Piette filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against James L. Fernau, M.D. and Accent on Body Cosmetic Surgery P.C. alleging fraudulent concealment, professional liability/medical negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff had a face lift done by the defendants on April 13, 2015. She alleges that she sustained serious physical injuries including severe headaches, loss of hearing, loss of hair and conversational disability as a result of the procedure.

The plaintiff holds Fernau and Accent on Body Cosmetic Surgery P.C. responsible because Fernau did not verbally describe or inform the plaintiff of any risks of the surgery or surgery technique.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory/ restitutional damages, court costs and any further relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Wilbur McCoy Otto of Otto Law Group LLC in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
