PHILADELPHIA – A Downington woman alleges that a Florida debt collector did not provide her with a proper initial communication letter.
Nina Coulter filed a complaint on July 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Complete Collection Service alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she received a letter from the defendant in February seeking to collect an alleged debt. She alleges that the letter does not include all the elements required by law, including the name of the current credit to whom the debt is owed.
The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Antranig Garibian of Garibian Law Offices, P.C. in Philadelphia.
