FBCS Inc. alleged to have sent consumer unlawful debt collection letter

Late 04

PHILADELPHIA – A Uniontown woman claims that a debt collector sent her a misleading collection letter.

Shavon Wormack filed a complaint on July 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against FBCS Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant is attempting to collect an alleged debt from her and sent her a collection letter in November 2016. She alleges the letter does not include the principal amount of the debt plus the actual interest and included other false and deceptive statements in violation of the FDCPA.

The plaintiff seeks actual damages, statutory damages, attorney's fees and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Antranig Garibian of Garibian Law Offices PC in Philadelphia.
