Retail, Wholesale, Department Store Union Local 1034 claims it is owed contributions

PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia employer is alleged to have failed to pay contributions to labor union funds for a month.

Retail, Wholesale, Department Store Union Local 1034, et al. filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Oakwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, doing business as Oakwood Healthcare LLC and Oakwood Residence, citing the National Labor Relations Act and the Labor-Management Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that the defendant failed to remit reports or make contributions in June. 

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in the amount of total accumulated delinquency, court costs, interest, injunctive relief, liquidated damages and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Nicholas J. Botta of Spear Wilderman PC in Philadelphia.
