PHILADELPHIA – A Feasterville reference laboratory alleges that a Brooklyn, New York, lab testing service business misappropriated its confidential information.
SMA Medical Laboratories Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Advanced Clinical Laboratory Solutions Inc. and Leonid Reyfman, M.D. alleging breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff contracted with the defendants for reference laboratory services for its customers. It alleges that the defendants used its confidential information without authorization to directly and indirectly solicit the plaintiff's customers to divert business.
The plaintiff seeks monetary damages, compensatory damages, exemplary and punitive damages, treble damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Stefanie Colella-Walsh and Gene Markin of Stark & Stark in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
