SCRANTON – A Teamsters union alleges that Navistar has breached its bargaining agreement.

Teamsters Local Union No. 776 filed a complaint and a petition to compel arbitration on Aug. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Navistar Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff represents employees of the defendant at the York Parts Distribution Center in Manchester. The plaintiff alleges that grievances were filed in 2017 and that the defendant refused to strike the lists of arbitrators.

The plaintiff holds Navistar Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to comply with the collective bargaining agreement with the plaintiff by failing to strike the lists.

The plaintiff seeks to retain jurisdiction of this court, compel arbitration of the three grievances, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Ira H. Weinstock of Ira H. Weinstock PC in Harrisburg.
