PITTSBURGH – A Florida corporation alleges that a Pittsburgh business is manufacturing a hearing aid drying/disinfecting system that infringes on its patent.
Hearing Technologies International Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against MG Development America Inc. alleging patent infringement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was legally issued patent '678, titled Hearing Aid Dryer, in 2010.
The plaintiff holds MG Development America Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly distributes and sells its hearing aid dryers/disinfectors, which infringes on at least one claim of plaintiff's '678 patent.
The plaintiff seeks injunction against the defendant, damages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Cecilia R. Dickson and Maximillian D. Meese of The Webb Law Firm in Pittsburgh.
