ERIE - An Erie corporation claims it was not paid for its services by a Michigan corporation.
Logistics Plus Inc. filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania Sept. 11 against Specialty Vehicle Acquisition Corp., doing business as American Sunroof Co., alleging breach of contract and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges it acted as a broker and provider of inland transportation services for the benefit of the defendant. It alleges it has not been paid for the period of July 25, 2016 to Aug. 4, 2017.
The plaintiff holds Specialty Vehicle Acquisition Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff for services they've provided.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary damages of $441,345.52 plus continually accruing interest of 6 percent per annum, monetary damages of 33 percent late payment penalty, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
