PITTSBURGH – A Glenshaw man alleges he was not paid overtime wages during his employment as a logistics coordinator.

Ben Rood filed a complaint on behalf of himself and similarly situated employees on Sept. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against R&R Express Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and Wage Collection Law.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant from May 2016 to Sept. 12 as a logistics coordinator. He alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages.

The plaintiff holds R&R Express Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime wages to the plaintiff for hours worked that exceeds 40 hours per week at the proper overtime wage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, unpaid non-overtime wages, interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Joseph H. Chivers of Employment Rights Group in Pittsburgh and John R. Linkosky of John Linkosky & Associates in Carnegie.
