PHILADELPHIA – An insurance company is seeking damages from a Warminster contractor after millwork it installed caused property damages.
Great Northern Insurance Co., as subrogee of Arnold Levin, filed a complaint on Sept. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against DCH Contractors LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the defendant performed work at Levin's home, which included installing millwork in the kitchen. The suit states that on Jan. 9, 2016, a section of the millwork fell from the ceiling and caused structural and personal property damages. Levin submitted a claim to the plaintiff, the suit states.
The plaintiff holds DCH Contractors LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly install the millwork.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $75,000 plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Michael D. O'Donnell of Cozen O'Connor in Philadelphia.
