PHILADELPHIA – A Levittown woman alleges that a California man made defamatory statements about her.
Linda Sondesky filed a complaint on Sept. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Stephen Edward Ellis alleging Fair Labor Standards Act retaliation and defamation.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff currently has another suit pending in the Eastern District against the defendant involving alleged retaliation. In this suit, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant wrote an email to Sunburst Energy President Jeffrey P. Elston on Aug. 12 that falsely accused her of committing a crime and that she has suffered damages as a result.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, injunctive and declaratory relief, liquidated damages, punitive damages, statutory enhancements, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
