HARRISBURG – A Missouri man alleges his credit reputation and score has been damaged by inaccurate information on his report.

Timothy Jones filed a complaint on Oct. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against NRA Group LLC, doing business as National Recovery Agency, and Equifax Information Services citing the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that since May 2016, he has been damaged from having false and inaccurate information being sent to third parties regarding his credit history by the defendants. The plaintiff alleges that NRA is reporting an unsatisfied balance on his credit report when that account was discharged in a bankruptcy.

The plaintiff holds NRA Group LLC and Equifax Information Services responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to properly investigate the plaintiff's credit history despite receiving his disputes.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Mark Mailman and Alexis I. Lehmann of Francis & Mailman PC in Philadelphia.
