Consumer claims U.S. Bank account listed on credit report doesn't belong to him

PHILADELPHIA – A Telford consumer alleges that inaccurate information listed on his credit report and that the information has not been corrected dispute filing two disputes.

Gerard Castry filed a complaint on Oct. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Trans Union LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc. & U.S. Bank N.A. citing the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that U.S. Bank was inaccurately reporting credit data regarding to the credit bureau defendants on account that does not belong to him. The plaintiff alleges he has never owed any balance to U.S. Bank and has never done any business with the bank.

The suit states the plaintiff disputed the accuracy of the trade line twice this year and that the credit bureau defendants notified him that they verified the account with U.S. Bank and that it would not be corrected.

The plaintiff holds Trans Union LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc. & U.S. Bank N.A. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to employ and follow reasonable procedures to investigate the plaintiff's dispute.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, immediately and permanently delete all of the inaccurate information from the plaintiff's credit reports and files, cease reporting inaccurate information to any and all persons and entities, interest and any further relief the court grants.
